This is my friend Bonnie's version of "May Each Day", the freebie I posted for St. Patrick's Day on the Freebie page of my main Tempting Tangles site.  I love what she has done, here,  stitched up with dark forest green and rich raspberry!

A Heart from my DH

My darling Husband presented me with this Murano glass heart for my birthday. Since I have a modest collection paper weights, this was a perfect addition.  On a whim, I thought I would do a floss toss and see what ideas come to mind. This makes me think of a harlequin design, doesn't it for you?

A Snip of the JCS Halloween Design

I've finally finished the designing and stitching of the second ornament for Just Cross Stitch.  This is a snippet of Scarecrow's Jack-o-Lantern - the rest of this design is a big secret!

This little design is  stitched on 32ct linen, with Crescent Colours cotton threads.  I did some blending of two colors for some neat effects on  Mr. Scarecrow.  You will see more in the magazine!!

Meantime, I will go back to working on Panoply of Peacocks with the gorgeous Crescent Colours. I will post a WIP soon!  While I stitch, I am open to inspiration and my next will be something marvelous using the spectacular colors and variegateds of Dinky Dyes silks.  I was amazed at the variety of these cheery colors.  Oh, dear, how to sort these?  I even found some that reminded me for all the world of those twisted, colorful peppermint sticks.

Keep watching :-)

Christmas Surprise On A New Fabric

I have to admit that while I do love purple, the mystery fabric was giving me the sneezes. Since sneezing and stitching are not compatible activities, my dear friend Rebecca sent me a lovely piece of royal blue Monica and I have begun anew.
Here is a snip of what I am creating for Just Cross Stitch magazine.  I am honored to have been invited to the Just Cross Stitch Christmas Ornament issue!  In addition,  I will be doing the designer profile in September/October 2011 with a full size design.   Last, I am designing and soon will soon be stitching a Halloween ornament in the Halloween "bookazine".   So keep watching for snippits as I go.

Meantime, I am still working on Panoply of Peacocks and love how it is turning out in the gorgeous Crescent Colours. I will post a WIP soon!
